Quorum

A “quorum” is the minimum number of members required to attend a meeting to conduct official business. It ensures that the decisions made represent the collective opinion of a sufficient portion of the group. The specific number required for a quorum is usually defined in an organization’s bylaws or governing documents. If the minimum number of attendees required for a quorum is not met, the meeting may not be able to make official decisions or take action on agenda items.
