Agreement Not to Rely on SABS Priority of Payment Rules (OPCF 47) – SABAS
Purpose of This Endorsement
The OPCF 47 endorsement is an integral part of your insurance policy. Its primary purpose is to address situations where individuals entitled to optional statutory accident benefits (SABS) under this policy might, due to the priority of payment rules in Section 268 of the Insurance Act, be required to claim under another policy that does not provide the optional benefits they have purchased. Agreement Terms
- Coverage Agreement: If optional statutory accident benefits are purchased and applicable to a person under this policy, and the person agrees not to claim SABS under another policy, this endorsement ensures that the insurance provider will not deny the claim for both mandatory and optional SABS coverage based on the priority of payment rules in Section 268 of the Insurance Act.
