Latent Defect

A latent defect is a hidden or concealed flaw in a property or product that is not immediately apparent or discoverable through reasonable inspection. Unlike a patent defect, which is obvious and can be detected through a simple visual examination, a latent defect is not visible or easily detectable at the time of purchase or inspection and may only become evident after some time has passed or under certain conditions.
