Stet

“Stet” is a Latin term used in editing and proofreading. It means “let it stand”. When a change or deletion is marked, but it is not needed, “stet” is used to indicate that the original text should remain unchanged. Generally, it is written in the margin of a document or manuscript to indicate that the editor or proofreader can ignore a suggested correction or alteration.
