Subletting

Subletting (or Sublease) is a rental arrangement where a tenant, who is currently leasing a property from a landlord, rents out all or part of that property to another person (the subtenant) for a specific period of time. In a sublet arrangement, the original tenant retains responsibility for the lease with the landlord, including paying rent and ensuring that the lease terms are followed. The subtenant pays rent to the original tenant and usually abides by the same lease conditions.
