Zoning

Zoning refers to the process by which local governments regulate and control the use of land and buildings within a municipality or other defined area. Zoning laws, also known as zoning ordinances or zoning regulations, divide a community into different zones or districts, each with specific rules about how the land can be used, the types of buildings that can be constructed, and the dimensions and characteristics of those buildings.
